Cutting Edge was contracted to perform the complete engineering to facilitate the removal and replacement of existing parking areas at buildings 192 and 193 YMCA location. This work also required the over excavation of the parking areas, placement of petromat to stabilize the subgrade and all required testing and QC elements. In addition, the project’s end user desired for the reconfiguration of the rear of the structure which was a fenced in parking area being utilized by the YMCA daycare facility as a play ground for the under five years old children. Through value engineering, Cutting Edge was able to accommodate a new play structure and shade structure along with new privacy fencing, sidewalks, curb and gutters, synthetic turf (grass), sand box, park benches and seating, as well as bring the facility up to current ADA requirements.
