This design build project consisted of overall site preparation and providing all utilities to support the new construction of a 4,000 SF metal building. The original intent for this project was to rehabilitate and make upgrades to an existing warehouse. It was determined that the cost associated to perform work to this facility would not be beneficial to the end user for its intended use. After looking at the specifications and careful review of the project requirements, our design team was able to value engineer and design a concept for the construction of a completely new building and utilize the original contract budget with no additional funding required. The result was a completely new 4000 SF maintenance building with a full wet fire suppression/alarm system, HVAC, metal roll up doors, electrical upgrades and lighting to also include a dedicated welding room. Exterior features included the addition of a new fire hydrant, electrical transformer and chain link fencing to surround the complex.
